The Department of Management of the Higher School of Business has been operating since December 1, 2006.

The Department of Management coordinates the preparation of masters in the direction of “State and Municipal Administration”, carrying out the whole range of necessary educational and methodological activities.

Head of the department: Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Economist of Russia, Member of the State Duma of the seventh convocation A.G. Kobilev.

Administrator of the master’s program: candidate of economic sciences, associate professor M.V. Taradina.

Educational activities

The department carries out educational activities in the direction of preparation “State and municipal administration”. Employees of the department are the leaders of educational programs:

  • Master’s program “Management of State and Municipal Enterprises” 2017;
  • Master’s program “Urban Development and Public-Private Partnerships” in 2018;
  • Master’s program “Management of State and Municipal Organizations” 2019.

Disciplines of the department are implemented as part of the educational programs of both the Higher School of Business and other structural departments (faculties) of the SFedU (as part of the module of university academic mobility).

Distinctive characteristics 

The master’s program prepares graduates for work in state and municipal institutions, public sector organizations, international organizations, non-profit public organizations, and various analytical structures. A distinctive feature of the program is the involvement of public administration practitioners in teaching. Among the teachers are developers of the civil service legislation and administrative regulations, experts responsible for analytical support of the work of federal and regional executive bodies.
